About The College

About Us

Evangelical Christian College – Nepal (ECC-N) was founded to develop Christian leaders for service in Nepal and other nations.  The college is dedicated to educating effective and powerful leaders to implement the Great Commission (“create disciples of all nations”) and prepare them for service in the Kingdom of God.  The college is designed to be unique in its commitment to Practical Christianity, developing action-oriented ministries (the true “ecclesia”), community transformation, and multiplication of disciples (based on the model of disciple-making in the Book of Acts).  ECC-N is a caring family of teaches, mentors, and students who share a common purpose of advancing the Gospel and the Kingdom of God.  We have an outstanding faculty, committed to high-quality, Bible-centered, and student-focused education. We invite you to join us in this exciting mission.

Our Mission

The mission of Evangelical Christian College – Nepal (ECC-N) is to equip students to be effective ministers and Christian leaders in Nepal and other nations, dedicated to sharing the Gospel, creating true disciples who create other disciples, and building up the body of Christ as the Lord intended – Christ-centered, Holy Spirit-led, faithful, active, healthy, unified, and synergistic (with each part supporting the whole).

In many colleges, students aspire to go back to their communities and churches expecting high positions. Although our focus is on developing “servant leaders,” we desire to develop students who are more “servants” than “leaders.” Although our students do become leaders in the Body of Christ, they do so with a “big heart” rather than a “big head”! At ECC-N, we never forget Mark 10:45: “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.

Statement of faith

  1. The Bible is the accurate and infallible Word of God.

  2. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are one God in three Persons, equal in substance, power, and glory. The triune God creates, provides and saves according to His gracious and righteous will.

  3. The Lord Jesus Christ is the only incarnated Son of God, truly Divine and fully human (in His earthly ministry). He was born of the Virgin Mary; He died on the cross as the atoning sacrifice for the sins of the whole world, and He rose on the third day from the dead and ascended to Heaven to sit at the right hand of God.  On the last day, He will come again to judge the living and the dead and to completely consummate the Kingdom of God.

  4. Humankind was created in the image of God for divine fellowship and to rule over all creation.  However, due to the disobedience of the first man, Adam, he died spiritually and was separated from God.  Likewise, in Adam, the entire humanity has become sinners and subject to eternal death.  However, those who hear the Good News and believe in and follow Jesus Christ will have eternal life through His amazing saving grace.

  5. God the Holy Spirit, was sent by Jesus to be the comforter, guide, and power-source and to reveal all truth through the Holy Scriptures and prophetic revelation. He leads all believers into repentance, imparts regeneration, justification, and sanctification until we inherit the heavenly Kingdom.  He bestows the full power to service and transforms our character into the image of Christ for ministry in God’s Kingdom.

  6. The true Church is one holy apostolic universal Church, formed by the faithful saints into the Body of which Christ is the Head.

  7. The primary mandate of the Church is to offer worship acceptable to God, to proclaim the Gospel, to make disciples of all nations, and to equip the saints for service within and outside of the Body of Christ.

  8. At the end of the age, the Lord Jesus Christ will return to the earth in His glory. At that time, all the dead will be raised and stand before God’s judgment – the righteous to eternal blessing and the unrighteous to eternal punishment.  In the new Heaven and the new Earth, the saints shall praise God forever and rule with the Lord over the restored creation.
